Kim Delaney, an American actress, is best known for her character Detective Diane Russell on ABC's NYPD Blue series, for which she won the Emmy Award. Her most well-known role is her role as a character in All My Children Philly CSI: Miami, Army Wives. Delaney was the child of an executive in the United Auto Workers who was also an auntie. Delaney has four older brothers. As a child she longed to be a court reporter. After graduating from high school and relocating into New York in the 1980s and began to model, she was hooked. In her teens the first time she appeared as an actress came in the soap opera of 1980 All My Children. Delaney was in numerous of films, television movies and dramatics since then. Delaney has not lived a successful or happy personal life. The talented actress has struggled with addiction issues in the past and had two divorces. Her custody in 2005 was removed from her.
